NIWAGEKIDAN PENINO
The group took its departure at the theatre group of the Showa Universtiy in 2000. Since the beginnig, the founder Kuro Tanino, a trained psychiater, has been the creative mind of the collective, which has attracted international attention since quite some time. Niwagekidan Penino (engl. ‹Garden theatre group Penino›) has been invited to festivals in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and other places.

KURO TANINO
Born 1976. Director and Playwright. After becoming a trained psychiatrist, he turned to the theater. He founded his company Niwagekidan Penino in 2000 with friends from university. After their beginning in the avantgarde scene, the have recently become more widely known.
